Meet the Author |
I was born and brought up in East Anglia. I went to school in Norfolk
and studied archaeology at Durham University, staying there to complete
a Master of Philosophy degree in Human Skeletal Remains.
I worked as a freelance human bone and post-excavation specialist,
excavator, finds assistant and museum cataloguer before getting my first
long-term employment contract, with Suffolk County Council, in 1995.
My work there, as Finds and Post-Excavation Manager, involved post-excavation analysis
of all categories of finds, but I continued to specialise in human bones
and more recently medieval pottery.
After ten years with Suffolk I wanted a new challenge,
so in October 2004 I moved to Scotland to take up a new job as a Project Manager
with CFA Archaeology in Musselburgh, East Lothian.
I am still available for specialist work on human bone (cremated and inhumed),
East Anglian medieval pottery, and Roman and later CBM.
